Samona Olanipekun

Samona was born in Coventry, West-Midlands to Nigerian parents. Currently based in London, his unique experience informs a lot of his work, blending cultures and perspectives. Before writing and directing, Samona produced award winning commercial content for a multitude of global brands (Clio Grand & British Arrow nomination).

Since transitioning to writing and directing, Samona’s first short film - Kindred which was commissioned by the Barbican went on to win Best Experimental at the BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica Short Film Festival. Samona is interested in stories that cross genre and format, at a deeper level, Samona is attracted to stories which examine or scrutinise the human condition.

He is interested in observing how humans react under immense pressure or extraordinary circumstances and questioning what it means to be human. It’s an opportunity for catharsis and in-turn an opportunity for collective progress. Samona’s passion lies in narrative, but believes there is no real difference between narrative and documentary; both formats take a lot from each other and are an opportunity to explore a deeper truth around the human condition.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
